A New Conversation

Our company was born out of an integral desire to create an alternative to commercial body care products, while simultaneously creating a more sustainable future for our children to inherit. For years now, we have made it our mission to source nutrient dense superfoods for the skin consciously and revive the conversation of ancient botanical wisdom. We are beyond blessed to be continuously building our brand, and our community. By allocating raw materials determinedly and dedicating labor and intention to our craft, we have been a part of the shift in our culture to reach for consciously created holistic body care products.

We are now entering a new paradigm, a new conversation surrounding plant medicine in the modern world. With the rather recent legalization of Cannabis sativa, we have been slowly crafting new formulations with the sacred use of hemp derived cannabinol (CBD). Mixing powerful botanicals with CBD CO2extracts we are both excited and honored to be a part of the demystification of this ancient plant. In the upcoming release of our new CBD salves and elixirs, it is our hope to continue to play a dynamic part in changing the perspective of people's understanding towards the healing powers of botanicals.

Breaking it Down | CBD | Cannabinol

CBD can be derived from both marijuana and hemp. It is only one of over 124 known cannabinoids found in Cannabis sativa. Hemp derived CBD is legal in 50 states, while Marijuana derived CBD must be purchased in a state that has further legalization in place. THC is simply another one of the 124 known cannabinoids found in cannabis. It is known to cause psycho active effects on the brain. Section 7606 of the Farm Bill defines industrial hemp as cannabis plants with less than 0.3 percent THC. Growing a plant with the balance of CBD and THC in this manner is a rather precise science for Hemp farmers. We hold significant gratitude to our farmers for cultivating plants sustainably and organically with this balance in mind.

To extract CBD-rich cannabis oil, one must start with CBD-rich plant material. There are many ways to extract oil from the cannabis plant, each has its pros and cons. Some methods are safer and more effective than others. Cannabis oil made with neurotoxic solvents like butane and hexane may leave unsafe residues that can compromise immune function and impede healing. We have chosen to use the CO2extraction method for our new products. The subcritical CO2

method uses carbon dioxide under high pressure and extremely low temperatures to isolate, preserve, and maintain the purity of the medicinal oil.

True to Our Nature

As we move forward, we will continue to take a strong stance on protecting the environment by supporting a global community of organic farmers and practicing triple bottom line business principals. As many of you know, we have been a certified B-Corporation for several years. Certified B Corps are required to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. We are the first B Corporation to bring Hemp derived CBD CO2product(s) into the market. By that we honor a deep ethical and conscious arrival as we pioneer this astounding plant botanical into organic body care solutions
